Happy days

Yesterday was a very good day!
I was placed in my boudoir for part of the morning, and judging from the silence upstairs, no one was home. Martina and Mom came back after a while with many paper bags that smelled of food. I tried to investigate and see if there was anything that needed to be eaten, but I was shooed away. I did ascertain that there was no kibble, but the food in the bags smelled mighty fine, and I hope that maybe I can sample it sometime.
I helped mom in the kitchen yesterday too. I like to sit at a strategic spot right by the sink and trash can. That way I can inspect everything that is being thrown out. I always love to be in the kitchen when Mom is cooking because everything smells so good!
I love it when Martina practices her oboe and viola. I like to go in and out of her room to check on her, I don't believe in too much solid practicing. Usually her practicing is a family affair. Ching likes to ride in Martina's pocket, and Klaus loves to whistle to Martina's toes. We are very musical cohorts.
Today has been a good day too. From the bustle I can tell that there are Sabbath preparations. Klaus and Ching have clean cages, the rooms and bathrooms are all tidy, and the vacuuming is underway. The only bad part of the cleaning is that all of the toys I have arranged in various places of the house somehow always get put neatly away in my toy basket. No matter, that is a problem easily fixed.
I hope you all have a great Sabbath!

My Crew

You need to meet more of the family! The little blue guy is Klaus, he thinks he's in charge because he is the oldest. Ching is the prickly one who looks like she is shy. I think she just hasn't learned yet that being happy is a choice! She gets lots of cuddling, but instead of enjoying it, she bristles and complains! Believe me that if I were allowed to sit on someones lap, I would relish every moment! Sometimes I do get to sit on someones lap, but it never seems to last very long! At least not long enough for me!

Education Philosophy

As you may have noticed, one of my passions is education. After all I have had a lot of homeschooling experience! My theory is this: Movement is essential! Forget the books and move!

Time on the AT

My favorite days are hiking days! Those are often Sabbaths, when we have some time to get out and enjoy the view while we praise the Creator! Here are some photos from Annapolis Rock during this past week, and two when I had fun digging in the dirt when we went camping on the AT in September.

Screen dogs

I knew you would want to see a pic of my buds Joy and Tuck! This was in the Spring, but we look pretty much the same. Mom says I've gained some weight, because Dad gives me too many treats, and Tee isn't around to go with me on as many walks, but I think I look fine!

A Happy Sabbath

Today was a wonderful Sabbath! I had my usual extra long rest in my boudoir while Mom and Dad went to church, and then when I should have been the center of attention, they made me stay there, while they entertained people! And not only people but my friends were running around, sniffing my house, while I had to stay in that crate! It was looking like a really rotten deal, when suddenly I was allowed to welcome my friends, Joy and Tucker. Granted I was a little excited, but wasn't that a normal reaction??? Anyway, we had a rollicking good time, and I shared my toys and water bowl. Then we got to pile into Charmaine's SUV. I got to ride in the back with my buddies, and we hit the old AT. We didn't make it all the way to Annapolis Rock, but then it was nearly sunset when we got started. I gave it a good try, but those people just can't keep up with me. The moon was really awesome when we had sundown prayer together. My favorite kind of day with lots of fresh air, and people I love. Oh, bananas for supper! The best!
